Colorado Homebuilding Academy is a collaborative, industry-driven training organization created to solve the construction industry’s need for skilled workers. When you support the Academy, you support the entire industry. Here are some ways builders and contractors can take action:


Hire job-ready graduates.

Every month, about 20 skilled adult students graduate from Construction Skills Bootcamp, Basics in Concrete, Construction Management, and Estimating courses. We are always looking for new employers to hire our knowledgeable graduates.


Host a certified field intern.

We are seeking employers who are willing to offer mentorship and professional development to our dedicated, skilled Youth Construction Apprentices through paid internships ($10-12/hour). At the end of the youth apprenticeship, we hope that employers consider offering summer employment or full-time employment to these apprentices.


Attend a job fair.

To prepare our adult students for job interviews, we host career fairs once a month that allow our students to practice speaking with real employers. Oftentimes, the employers who attend these job fairs hire qualified students who they meet at these events.


Be a guest speaker.

Each week, we invite leaders in the industry to give a career talk to Construction Skills Bootcamp students. This is an opportunity for the speakers to share their personal stories and to recruit talented workers.


Train your employees.

Employers are invited to sponsor their employees’ professional development by sending them to Construction Management and Estimating programs, as well as basic skills training through Construction Skills Bootcamp.


Engage your sub-contractors.

Invite the Academy to speak at your trade meetings. Encourage your sub-contractors to be part of the solution, and support them when they do!

We host 1-hour Employer Information Sessions two times per week.



Choose a day and time:

  • Tuesdays or Thursdays from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, or by appointment
